The tripe that is dribbling out of John Buchanan’s book had the salutary effect of reminding me of an earlier book writtent by a another but very different John – John Wright. Indian Summers is the only cricket book I ever bought and I loved every page of it. Particularly John’s description of an unnamed Indian player in the gym, cycling away which eating a sandwich!
To save me some writing, I found an excellent review of Wright’s book on the blog Lightning Strikes Every Day.
Skip John Buchanan’s Book; buy John Wright’s instead. You won’t regret it.
